Job Description Summary

The Staff Software Engineer will be responsible for developing digital solutions for connectivity, remote operations, and asset & fleet management for GE Vernova's Solar and Storage Solutions business, with a particular focus on UI/UX.

Roles and Responsibilities

• As part of the software development team, be responsible for development of Web User Interface and reusable UI components.

• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.

• Understand performance parameters, assess, and improve application performance.

• Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products.

• Work with UX Designers and Researchers to implement UI components, applications and meet user requirements base on UX specifications and user feedback.

Education Qualification

• B.Tech / M.Tech / BE/ ME / MCA in Computer Science or Information Technology.

• Experience with web front-end technologies such as Typescript/Javascript, HTML5, CSS, and frameworks like Angular, React

Desired Characteristics

• ReactJS is preferred.

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, build tools like npm, and source control tools like Github

• Container deployment to Kubernetes cluster.

• Experience writing and/or integrating with REST services on the backend.

• Backend development / Script development in Python / Java / Go

• API development in Python Flask framework

• Familiarity and experience writing UI mobile applications is a plus.

• Experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Rally, JIRA, CI/CD)
