Emerson Application Engineer / Senior Application Engineer in CHENNAI, India

Job Summary

If you are looking for an opportunity in solution selling and have a flare to grow in technical structure, then the severe service team is the right choice for you. This role is based in FCEC Chennai, India, and will provide technical, solution selling and competitor displacement support for all the Emerson Flow Control sales offices in Europe. You will also get an opportunity to work directly with customer to market Emerson flow controls product portfolio. You will be the key contact for engineering/pricing preparation of Severe Service packages in Europe.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Key contact for engineering/pricing preparation of Severe Service packages in Europe

  • Detailed proposal preparation for Severe Service control valve packages

  • Works collaboratively with Severe Service Champions in the country to promote/sell Severe Service Solutions

  • Works collaboratively with GIS/SDSE/Product Engineers

  • Analyse RFQ scope and commit to a deadline

  • Handle internal training programs when required to peers

  • Readiness for Inhouse engineer support in sales country when required

  • Able to handle all severe service applications in different process industries

  • Independently handle quote to commit process

  • Capable to take part in BCM with customers and able to justify solutions

  • Understands installed valve problems and recommends appropriate solutions

  • Engage in global initiatives and forums, contributing to broader organizational discussions and strategy development.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in control valves engineering

  • General understanding on the quote to cash processes.

  • Broad technical knowledge of products, services, processes, and projects.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering.

  • In depth knowledge of all Fisher products and accessories

  • Good understanding of product specifications and Incoterms

  • Good knowledge of industry applications.

  • Optimizes work processes and improves performance metrics

  • Awareness of other Emerson products

  • Good knowledge of Inactive/obsolete/Competitor products
