Ford Motor Company Senior Software Engineer in Chennai, India

Ford PD-IT is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, Your responsibilities will extend from developing and designing system architecture to high-level programming, performance testing, and systems integration.

  • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions

  • Design client-side and server-side architecture

  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design

  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications

  • Write effective APIs

  • Write technical documentation

  • Work with Product owner, Data engineer, Architect and analysts to improve software

  • Write effective APIs including automate workflows, configurations and build seamless orchestration for a great user-experience.

  • Design and implement API endpoints through our API gateway to facilitate communication between our applications and external systems

  • Ensure data security and privacy when handling sensitive information

  • Test and debug integrations to ensure seamless functionality Front-end

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, or a related field.

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in Google Cloud Platform services – Cloud Run / Cloud Function / Dataflow / Data Fusion / BigQuery / Cloud SQL /Compute Engine

  • Develop REST based microservices using Spring, SpringBoot, SpringCloud, SpringListener, SpringMVC, JavaScript, HTML, XML, JUNITS

  • Experience in Terraform scripting for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Experience with SAST and DAST tools like Sonarqube, CheckMarx, 42Crunch.

  • Extensive experience with Gradle and Maven for build automation, dependency management, and project management.

  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.

  • Experience with designing and implementing microservices-based architectures, including service decomposition, communication strategies, service discovery, and load balancing.

  • Experience with building high-performance web applications using various technologies and frameworks.

  • Experience with Messaging Queues like Kafka and Google PubSub
