Ford Motor Company Senior Software Engineer in Chennai, India

  • Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, and product demos.

  • Provide strong technical leadership to a team of software engineers, guiding and mentoring them to achieve technical excellence. Set technical direction, define best practices, and ensure adherence to coding standards and software development methodologies.

  • Lead the resolution of complex technical issues, providing guidance and support to the development team. Identify root causes, propose solutions, and drive problem resolution in a timely manner.

  • Participate in detailed technical design, development, implementation, and support of Big Data applications.

  • Work with Product Managers and Software Engineers to groom features (user stories and tasks)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and create solutions

  • Knowledge of different development and testing methodologies including TDD and BDD.

Software Engineer with 5+ professional experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering or related technical field

  • Strong programming skills in java Spring boot development, designing and developing REST APIs and front-end development using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Angular JS.

  • Strong experience with SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server

  • Familiarity and prior experience with Agile / Scrum development methodologies

  • 3+ years of experience in full stack software development.

  • 1+ years’ experience in Cloud technologies & services, preferably GCP.

  • Experience in SonarQube, CICD, Tekton, terraform, GCS, GCP, Kubernetes etc.

  • Ability to understand technical, functional, non-functional business requirements and delivering them end-to-end.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to creatively solve problems and thrive when faced with new and unique challenges.
