Job Description
As a Senior Manager, Information Technology Info Systems, Sr. Manager responsible to manage 3 technology teams covering areas of Backup (Commvault, NetBackup etc.), Storage (NetApp, NetApp CVO, Dell EMC etc.), Virtualization (VMWare VCloud Director, ESXi etc.). About the role and what you’ll be doing:
Ensuring rotating on-call support for 24 x7 coverage of production infrastructure and applications
Managing a team tasked with implementation and operations of Server infrastructure, datacenter administration and operations that support the applications and business processes as required
Act as an Escalation point for Client Operations
Collaborating with Global delivery managers from other regions, Project/Build teams, SDMs and other teams with respect to Support
Being an active participant in setting direction, strategy and goals for the team and its products/services
Own all facets of performance and career management for the team. Regular one-on-one meetings with all team members.
Provide both technical and ‘soft skill’ mentoring in order to maintain a well-rounded, well-balanced team. This includes project management, quality audits, and coordination of training sessions as well as day-to-day oversight of the team.
Active mentor in developing and educating team members, participant in setting direction and goals on an individual level
Working with Ensono’s clients to understand their business and collaborate on how Ensono’s technology team can best align with them to ensure our processes, strategies and technologies are meeting their demands and expectations
Process
Creating, managing and reporting against KPIs for the platform’s operation, overseeing all environment change management and deployment activities
Ensure company ITSM process are being followed. Ticket queue management, Incident Management, Change and Problem management
Responsible for driving infrastructure projects using project management methodologies
Consistently improving performance and reliability as the platform scales, driving continuous improvement through operational metrics, automation and best practices
Implement and maintain full operational compliance against various security and compliance requirements
Creating and delivering knowledge sharing presentations and documentation to both technical and non-technical audiences inside and outside Ensono
Building best-in-class solutions for the overall monitoring, alerting, management and escalation of all technology services enabling self-service and autonomous product domain teams
Create and draft reports for presentations, weekly/monthly status, outage reports, and continued development of staff
Technology
Ensure reliability, recoverability and optimum performance of client dedicated environments
Deliver service availability at or greater than the expected contractual levels
Overseeing deploying, maintaining, and supporting solutions across the client’s infrastructure
Deploy and utilize automation tools to minimize human operational requirements
Acting as a technical leader for visible and complex projects, advocating for solutions across organizational boundaries
Provide thought leadership on client’s environments to ensure any gaps are reported and recorded with client and Ensono Technical Delivery teams
Learning on the job and exploring new technologies. Leading and encouraging team towards this constant learning mindset
Qualifications
Overall 10-15 years of experience with global IT companies
5+ years of technical staff management of more than 10 team members
Experience in supporting these technologies (as many as possible) – Linux, Windows Server Administration, Network administration, Virtualization, Storage, Backup, Monitoring, IAM
Advanced knowledge of system administrative practices in large scale data center environments
Must have skills in project management; project planning, task identification, scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
PMP & Agile certifications preferred
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills with ability to work and build relationships across multiple levels of an organization
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Experience in supporting and managing environment on top of AWS Cloud services is a plus
