Job Summary

Product Owner . • Agile & Scrum knowledge including experience with user stories that include thorough acceptance test criteria • Having an ownership mentality – taking accountability for the quality and success of the outcome of work • Ability to distill complex concepts into easy-to-understand ideas tailoring response based on the target audience • Ability to prioritize individual scrum team work within a larger set of Product priorities Responsible for managing the pricing, packaging and documenting new products ideas and conducts user need analyses for ancillary products so that subscriber and financial objectives are achieved. Manages ongoing product management of new and existing products. Conducts the budgeting, planning, analysis and monitoring required to ensure unit and financial targets are met for assigned products. This job is an individual contributor role that does not have direct responsibility for supervision or performance management of staff.

  • Internalizes and represents the Voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Performs competitive analysis and conducts market research.

  • Teams with product development to deliver high quality products on time.

  • Participates in the strategic planning for enhancements to product content, pricing, packaging and features.

  • Assists in budgeting and variance analysis of product's unit and financial performance, with goal of identifying opportunities and risks. Concisely communicate trends, opportunities and risks, develop and defend POV for product features/benefits.

  • Conducts feasibility assessments, capability gap analysis (i.e., what is wanted vs. what is attainable).

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Product Owner for CONNECT Aegis Iris Team

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for the overall success of Iris Design & Drafting. You will work closely with the cross-functional team to define the product roadmap, prioritize features, and track the product's progress. You will also be responsible for communicating the product vision to stakeholders and ensuring that the product meets the needs of our users.

A successful product owner in this position will:

Serve as product, process, and Subject Matter Expert

Document and communicate business requirements and process flows using agile methodologies

Prioritize features and backlog items

Communicate & coordinate deliverables with fellow product owners and product management

Attend and be prepared for all relevant sprint ceremonies (scrum, scrum of scrums, refinement, planning, review, retrospective)

Support development and QA inquiries to ensure successful system development

Prepare status updates to leadership as needed

Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

  • Responsibilities:

  • Work with several agile development teams within the Aegis portfolio

  • Become knowledgeable of the different products created in the portfolio and their features

  • Collaborate with peers in the US offices; to keep the US and Chennai teams aligned and lead agile ceremonies during the Chennai working hours

  • Contribute to developing our product strategy, identify new opportunities, and create a shared vision throughout the organization.

  • Support the creation of the product roadmaps for all products within the portfolio

  • Discuss product features with engineering leadership to align on goals and solutions.

  • Work with multiple development teams following agile practices.

  • Holistically understand business problems and requirements, in order to invent efficient and useful solutions

  • Work with the full team for ideation, design, and delivery of features

  • Collaborate with various functions including product management and engineering,
