Job Summary

Responsible for contributing in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, new product implementation, implementing existing products and services and the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure that appropriate resources (people, tools, services) and processes are in place to gather and analyse data relating to technology asset life cycles and related processes.

• Collaborate effectively and regularly with your counterparts in the Group Service Management Department and other key stakeholder groups

• Own the accuracy of the CI relationships, the accuracy of Infrastructure mapping, the accuracy of the CMDB CI records and the accuracy of the asset Inventory.

• Identify and report on breaches of ITSM Configuration & Asset management policy and track remedial action to successful remediation.

• Report on (and continuously develop reporting on) remediation of digital technology asset-related risks and progress of optimization activity.

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting, and that data completeness and quality issues are quickly identified and escalated to the responsible data or process owners.

• Gather data on and provide analysis of all activities that have an impact on the value, cost, and risk of digital technology asset life cycles.

• Provide Finance Team with the data to support the analysis of digital technology asset project and maintenance budgets and business cases.

• Align responsibilities with the teams responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle for software asset management, Data & content management hardware asset management and IT asset disposition.

• Be seen as the evangelist for Configuration & Asset management by your peers.

• Promote a mindset that embraces process automation to raise the effectiveness and value of the Team.

Employees at all levels are expected to:

• Strong knowledge and use of configuration & asset capabilities of industry recognised ITSM platform (ServiceNow preferred)

• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key business and technical concepts, and then effectively communicate these concepts with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management

• Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and to manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources

• Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in process formulation and improvement

• Ability to read and interpret contracts to properly manage digital technology, which includes license and maintenance agreements

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
