Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Field Service Support

  • Provide technical service, installation, operation, training, demonstration, and repair of GCMS, GC analyzers, GC equipment and HPLC to Thermo Fisher customers.

  • Demonstrate excellent technical proficiency in the Gas Chromatography product line.

  • Install products at client premises and demonstrate features related to 21 CFR compliance under the CDS software.

  • Deliver training and technical advice on instrument use, ensuring optimum performance.

  • Investigate difficulties, tackle faults, and provide solutions or arrange for repairs.

  • Act as a communication link between customers and Sales and Marketing teams.

  • Monitor repairs, suggest product improvements, and provide regular customer visits.

  • Assist with spare parts requirement monitoring and equipment maintenance.

  • Achieve assigned spares and service revenue targets by promoting contracts, PM kits, instrument upgrades, and software upgrades.

  • Travel extensively within the territory and potentially outside territory if required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Technology (Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical) degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills suitable for a role that involves interacting with others.

  • Ability to prioritize service requests and produce clear documentation.

  • Self-motivated and proactive in technical and support approach.

  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs.
