Danaher Corporation Regional Sales Manager-West in Chengdu, China


  • Manage Field Sales team, Clinical Solution team and Channel Partners to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales quota objectives.

  • Perform prospecting activities and maintain a sufficient base of prospects that will enable completion of sales targets. Prospecting activities include cold calling, proposal preparation, product demonstrations and customer analysis & needs assessments.

  • Regularly perform Sales Funnel review with sales team & clinical solution team according to Standard Work process to ensure sufficient opportunities to support sales growth.

  • Ensure that the sales objectives are achieved through seamless collaboration of marketing, customer care and sales operations etc.

  • Work closely with sales operations team to ensure purchasing order process, sales forecast, demand planning, shipping and logistics are effectively streamlined and well aligned.

  • Effectively lead and manage CPTK process and make sure high level of compliance in distributor selection, contracts, performance evaluation and termination.

  • Lead Field Sales team and Clinical Solution team by clearly defined objectives, actionable focus and improved alignment

  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that drive our core DBS values, such as ‘Best Team Wins’ and ‘Customer Talk, We listen’.

  • Work closely with marketing team to prepare new product launch and execute product launch activities and programs.

  • Proactively manage provincial CDC tenders and make sure the distribution channel and pricing are well aligned to be successful.

  • Engage, develop and motivate the sales organization so as to create high achieving team rooted in collaboration


Education or Experience (in years):

  • At least 5 years sales experience in the health care industry with proven track record of successful sales performance, with a focus at closing deals

  • At least 3 years sales team management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Medical Science or Life Science (Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry) or equivalent industry-related experience required. An undergraduate degree is required, Master degree will be a plus, with an MBA preferred

  • Must have a strong people management skill and experience in creating and leading high performing teams

  • Capability to leverage relations and our knowledge of the accounts

  • Highly dynamic and motivated professional with excellent presentation, communications and interpersonal skills

  • Proactive and autonomous in work and have the ability to develop business contacts and relationships at all levels of an organization

  • Must have experience to Chinese market, understands Chinese culture and is fluent in English and Chinese languages

  • Role will require high level of travel

  • Position will be based at Cepheid China head office or is willing to relocate.
