Role Purpose: To fully instrument and build various custom parts by manually applying strain gages, hand soldering wires, various electrical and mechanical testing, and coating parts. This role is highly independent and works hand in hand with Engineers.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Able to understand and read engineering drawings, various blueprints, and work instructions.

• Prepare parts for gaging using various surface prep methods like sandblasting and manual sanding.

• Apply layout and burnish lines by taking measurements using height gages and using scribe tools.

• Applying strain gages to prepped surfaces using various epoxies and clamping methods.

• Able to solder fine wires using a microscope or with a magnification lens.

• Must be able to use various electrical test equipment such as multimeters and power supplies.

• Ability to apply protective coatings using fine brushes or syringes.

• Some travel required when customers require installation at their site.

• Other duties as assigned.

Other Significant Role Requirements:

• Understanding of how to resolve issues without causing conflict.

• Needs to have a flexible work schedule, to insure OTD of our products.

• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

• Highly independent and good problem solver.

• Soldering experience is a plus

• Experience in the electromechanical field is a plus

• Initiative – strives to see projects to completion and acts with a sense of purpose.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School diploma or GED

• Minimum of 2+ year of related experience

• Solid experience with Word and Excel required.

• SyteLine and/or ERP system experience preferred.
