Description

Healthcare Systems Application Specialist will work closely with the Administrative Team and Clinical Informatics Specialist to deliver comprehensive support for our electronic medical record (EMR), billing systems, and related applications within the healthcare environment. This role plays a crucial part in optimizing EMR/Billing System usage to enhance patient care, user satisfaction, and overall quality outcomes. A deep understanding of system functionality and its practical application is fundamental to success. The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge of relational databases, understanding how data supports both clinical and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gain a thorough understanding of the electronic medical record and billing systems to effectively apply their functionalities while ensuring excellent customer service for key stakeholders.

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the EMR/billing system, including managing upgrades, enhancements, and third-party integrations.

• Identify opportunities for performance enhancement, bridging gaps between system capabilities and user requirements.

• Develop and implement role-based access controls and oversee user management for the applications.

• Provide timely troubleshooting and resolution of application issues.

• Collaborate with clinical and business leaders to optimize EMR/billing system utilization.

• Act as a technical liaison for new feature implementations.

• Evaluate data quality and adjust applications to support analytical needs.

• Identify automation opportunities for data processing and migration.

• Support revenue cycle process improvements in coordination with leadership and finance teams.

• Undertake additional duties or projects related to clinical information technology implementation as assigned by management.
