Role Overview

Sodexo is currently searching for an Administrative Assistant 2 to join our Tax Department at our Financial Shared Service office in Cheektowaga, NY.

What You'll Do

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to Tax Department personnel

  • Complete various general tasks (i.e. copying, filing, faxing, scanning, archiving, deposits, payments)

  • Sort and distribute mail within department

  • Ensure proper and timely mailing of tax returns

  • Provide assistance with EFT/check processing

  • Retrieve invoices and other documents for tax audits

  • Assist external consultants with documentation requests

  • Sort and mail resale certificates to vendors

  • Assist staff with sales tax registration process

What You Bring

  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)

  • Professional verbal, written and telephone communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment anduse printer, fax machine & scanner

  • Well organized & effective time management and Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • One (1) year Accounting or Business courses, including High School (preferred)

  • 2-4 years general office work experience, administrative assistant experience preferred
