HYDRAULICS INTERNATIONAL, INC SHIPPING CLERK in Chatsworth, California
JOB OVERVIEW:
Pack and prepare shipments
Duties include but are not limited to the following
Prepares shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containers.
Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment.
Understanding and practice of MILSTD 2073 packing
Ships items by verifying identifying information and quantity and condition of items; loading and protecting items.
Documents items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information.
Assist in the Continuous improvement of department by cross training and learning all aspects of Material Control.
Makes an effort for continuous improvement to work processes for production and/or quality control
Responsible for following rules and regulations stated in the company handbook, notices and postings.
Responsible for following the written and verbal directions of leads, supervisor and management
Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment as well as follow the Code of Safe Work Practices.
Wiliness and ability to understand and adhere the company quality system in work processes
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Reliable, Organization, Deadline-Oriented
Excellent communications skills with a strong team attitude
Demonstrated attention to detail, quality and accuracy
Effective organization skills
High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required, preferred 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
