University of Virginia Open Rank/Open Track Clinical Faculty, Pediatric Primary Care, Department of Pediatrics in Charlottesville, Virginia
The Department of Pediatrics Division of Primary Care Pediatrics, at UVA Health Children's Hospital, seeks candidates for a non-tenure eligible clinical faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, to join their growing team at UVA Pediatrics at Northridge. The position is ideal for a highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in advancing their career through excellence in clinical practice, teaching, quality improvement, and advocacy. Rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications.
The position requires excellent clinical and teaching skills and experience necessary to precept residents and medical students.
The Division of Primary Pediatrics is currently comprised of 24 full and part-time pediatricians. The Division has outstanding collaborative working relationships with other pediatric subspecialists, our surgical colleagues and our colleagues in adult medicine.
The University of Virginia Health system is composed of the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, University Physicians Group and the Medical Center. The Medical Center is a 735-bed, level 1 trauma center that serves as the primary, specialty and sub-specialty hospital for central Virginia. The University of Virginia consists of 13 schools in Charlottesville, plus College at Wise in rural Southwest Virginia. The University of Virginia is in Charlottesville, a cultured, cosmopolitan community with a charming, small-town feel. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in pediatrics and have an M.D. degree or equivalent.
