What You’ll Get to Do:

As a Cultural Language Analyst, you’ll provide your native, or near-native, language and cultural expertise to support threat system analysis of strategic competitors. Additionally, you'll transcribe and/or translate source material, both printed and audio. Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a current Top Secret security clearance. Must possess native or near native proficiency in Chinese and a minimum of 3/3 on the DLPT or equivalent test.

More About this Role:

  • Translate intermediate to advanced level materials including technical manuals, academic research, and multimedia files from Chinese into grammatically correct English.

  • Integrate with the COI to provide contextualized analysis of Chinese language documents to support the prioritization, employment, and refinement of collections designed to illuminate knowledge gaps.

  • Facilitate continuous feedback between the Targeting Integration Cell collocated with the government work in College Park, MD, and the various collection mechanisms engaged.

  • Harness foreign language and U.S. Science & Technology (S&T) datasets to generate insights from millions of unclassified publicly and commercially available information sources to create initial leads.

  • Provide language-enhanced support to the network or nodal analysis of people, organizations, and locations by fusing data from multiple sources.

  • Presents findings and analysis to members of the COI and interagency partners.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Must be willing to take a Counterintelligence polygraph.

  • Must have 2+ years of relevant language-enabled OSINT experience to qualify

  • Intelligence experience in a fusion target environment. Knowledgeable in intelligence disciplines, capabilities, limitations, and platforms, including HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, and OSINT. Hands-on intelligence experience must be current or very recent.

  • Proven successful experience working in a team environment. Includes local teams and teams distributed geographically.

  • Participates in analytical meetings or conferences with team members.

  • Ability to generate white papers and informational presentations in support of the team’s analysis.

  • Knowledge of COCOM and military operation environments.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with Department of Commerce, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence Community data to identify and generate options for interagency consideration within strategic competitor’s licit and illicit procurement networks.

  • Intelligence analysis experience on a fusion team focused on national and strategic objectives.

  • Experience providing OSINT support to conventional and special operations organizations.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
