Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position serves as a technical resource for the Office of the Registrar and other campus partners. The position works closely with various teams to improve processes, resolve complex issues, assist with data needs/reporting, and manage technology projects within the OneIT Academic Affairs Support team.
This position plays a significant role in the support of the University’s student information systems, for example, Banner Student and Degree Works, in relation to specific operations, policies, and procedures managed by the Office of the Registrar. The position is responsible for maintaining appropriate university-wide rule and validation tables, providing functional leadership in areas under implementation and/or with upgrades, researching functional impacts/benefits in upgrades and additional modules, and assisting in the development of end user documentation and training.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Bachelor’s degree and
Two years of work experience in the information technology area; or
Equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Experience engaging or working within higher education, specifically offices within Enrollment Management is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Ellucian’s Banner Student and/or Degree Works. Familiarity with equivalent tools and solutions with a willingness and ability to acquire new skills may be substituted.
Experience with programming languages such as, but not limited to, WebFocus, SQL or XML .
Expected drive and initiative for keeping technology skills current and relevant to the position.
Experience managing IT projects and being a liaison between functional and technical users.
Experience working with non-technical users to produce technical documentation.
Experience training users on new systems.
