Kanaan Communications, LLC Technician Quality Control Field in Charlotte, North Carolina
Prince Telecom is seeking a Technician Quality Control (Fiber Optics) to join our team and help connect America!
Pay Range: $20-$22/hr
Job Type: Full Time
Work on-site with the crews daily (in varied weather conditions).
Ensure correct depths and placement of fiber.
Check sequential numbers (numbers every two feet stamped into cabling).
Ensure the correct number of pedestals/handholes, among other things, are installed correctly and in the desired locations.
Assist in the establishment of schedules and cost expenditures tracking.
Prepare reports/documents and maintain project records.
Resolve design and staking sheet problems during construction, and when necessary, interpret company guidelines for specific applications.
Provide quality control to ensure construction/engineering standards/specifications are followed.
Interact with landowners, permit agencies, as well as other company departments.
Valid driver's license (required)
Minimum age 18 years old
Some knowledge of telecommunication engineering/construction practices
Must be able to read schematics, maps, and work prints (staking sheets)
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, and possess basic computer skills
Previous work in Telecom preferred
Must be capable of performing repetitive physical motions that include bending, standing, climbing, and walking on uneven terrain (in varied weather conditions)
Willing to work overtime as needed
This position requires US Citizenship or a Permanent Resident status
