Job Description

The Syndicate Operations Specialist position requires you to be detail oriented, dedicated, and proactive. Key responsibilities include post trade processing and providing direct middle office support to syndicate, sales, and trading desks for the Global Capital Markets activities of U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc., and/or U.S. Bank N.A. Municipal Products Group. While operations-focused, our specialists work in the fixed income trading environment in both primary and secondary markets. To be successful in this role, you must be naturally inquisitive and be able to handle high pressure situations at times. Daily interactions with traders, sales persons, institutional customers and various operational departments are required to facilitate seamless trade processing from execution to settlement and reconciliation of trade and Profit and Loss (P&L) posting.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to seven years of related experience, preferably in financial services, fixed income trading or operations environment

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry as well as thorough knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements

  • Strong understanding of investment concepts and trading rules, and a thorough understanding of bond market dynamics and best practices

  • Ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle difficult or complex client interactions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with Bloomberg would be beneficial

  • FINRA Series 7 license preferred

  • Highly motivated to drive process efficiency and improvements

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $35.58 - $47.40 - $52.14
