Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our media industry team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be tasked with providing management with accurate financial information through analyzing accounts and financial data.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the download and review of monthly financial reports for accuracy

• Analyze subscription accounting data and verify the information by developing spreadsheet reports

• Prepare general ledger entries and reconcile subscription accounts for all media channels

• Collaborate with our financial reporting team to answer subscription questions by researching and interpreting data

• Ensure the accuracy and timely payments of various third-party subscription billings

• Maintain the organization's core competencies and values by keeping information accurate and confidential

• Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities within the industry. Requirements • Candidate should hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Understanding of General Ledger is required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team

• Good organizational skills with attention to detail

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Familiarity with accounting software is a plus

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

• Interest in the Media industry is beneficial.
