Principal Financial Group Sr Wealth Sales Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina

What You'll Do

We’re looking for a Sr. Wealth Sales Specialist (hybrid wholesaler) to join our Principal Asset Management team. This role works collaboratively with the Sr. Director and Internal Wholesaler for collective territory success. You’ll have immediate impact on helping to exceed sales goals by developing a new segment of advisors not actively covered. You will master sales stories of some of the top Mutual Funds & ETFs in the industry, and use that knowledge to help broaden our marketing and sales strategy.

Here are few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:

  • Virtual and in the field sales presentations covering MFs, ETFs, SMAs

  • Create sales presentations

  • Develop consistent education on investment strategies and lead sales campaigns for focus advisors.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required and 5+years related industry experience required (strong preference towards internal wholesaling or hybrid sales rep experience)

  • FINRA licensing required including SIE or equivalent and series 7

  • Series 63 required within 45 days

  • Experience running a sales territory with defined target

  • Excellent knowledge of investment products and financial markets required

  • Strong listening skills, consultative skills, advisor management expertise, and analytical analysis are required

  • Must have strong presentation, and oral and written communication skills

  • Good training and motivational skills are necessary

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

  • 25-40% travel expectation required, including overnight stays

  • Advanced designations preferred (eg, CFP®, CFA®, CIMA®, CAIA®)

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$71250 - $111100 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Location

This role can be located remotely in California. If you are located in Des Moines, IA or Charlotte, NC, this role offers the ability for in-office, or hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek) work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
