About this role
Commercial HVAC seeks a Senior Maintenance and Facilities Engineer for the Charlotte Plant in North Carolina , who is highly motivated, strategical thinker, results-oriented, disciplined, enjoys challenges, and loves innovating new manufacturing technology and optimizing processes in a high-mix production system.

The Commercial HVAC team is interested in hiring a Senior Maintenance and Facilities Engineer who is comfortable in a high-performing, customer-focused environment, and can adapt quickly to produce meaningful outcomes integrity, and commitment to success. Drawing on previous experience and ingenuity, the Senior Maintenance and Facilities Engineer must be a leader who can motivate a multidisciplinary team to provide stellar work across all functions and the manufacturing workforce. Also work closely with functional partners in Operations, Continuous Improvement, Supplier Quality, Internal and Field Quality, Finance, and site employees.
The Senior Maintenance and Facilities Engineer has complete ownership on developing and implementing maintenance policies and procedures, including TPM and metrics tracking at the Charlotte facility. The Senior Maintenance and Facilities Engineer will develop and control procedures for the plant, as well as troubleshoot the complex mechanical, PLC, and electrical systems to allow these units to perform to the customer’s requirements. We require a strong understanding of chiller and control systems and related components in this role.
This role is right for a person with a technical and leadership background and that develops manufacturing into a competitive advantage. The Senior Maintenance and Facilities Engineer will be key in guiding functional and operations stakeholders, along with OEMs / supplier partners on important issues and decisions and to share best practices with sites that share the same product platform with the potential to extend and deploy matching solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Consult on regular inspections to identify and address potential issues
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Manage facility-related projects, including renovations and upgrades
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
Monitor and manage facility budgets and expenses
Report monthly on maintenance KPIs
Basic Qualifications
Associate’s degree or Trades certification with High School Diploma /GED
5 plus years of experience in maintenance and facilities management
2 plus years of experience in building systems and maintenance procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or technical
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Organizational and time management skills
English communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using maintenance management software (e-maintenance)
