Wells Fargo Senior Lead Process Engineer in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Process Engineer experienced professionals to join the Commercial Banking Business Enablement - Process Improvement and Automation team. The Commercial Banking Process Improvement and Automation team assists CB business groups/process owners & staff functions in maximizing the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance of their processes to help ensure they achieve their near and long-term goals through the utilization of Business Process Management.

In this role, you will:

  • Organize, lead, and facilitate cross-LOB, enterprise-wide continuous improvement transformations and utility initiatives that will encompass an end-to-end analysis and future state redesign that requires specialized knowledge or skill critical to the redesign effort in a matrix leadership environment

  • Develop process improvement approaches across multiple lines of businesses, customer focused to understanding business processes, utilizing automation via process mining and workflow to identify and help prioritize new initiatives to drive business strategy, mitigate potential risks and control gaps, financial return, and/or positive customer experience

  • Complete current state assessments, gap analysis, future and target operating model design

  • Develop root cause analysis and business case for proposed technology, staff, and structure changes, including benefit cost savings

  • Establish standards for measuring performance against process requirements - Including the developing metrics that provide data for process management indicators for future improvement opportunities

  • May include leading other process engineers to a common goal

  • The sharing of lessons learned and best practices with others throughout the organization when appropriate

  • Drives business awareness of our common enterprise operational and process excellence methods, techniques, tools, etc.

  • Create economies of scale by identifying opportunities to standard processes and simplify work by eliminating waste, removing variation and deficiencies

  • Partner with RAU and Process Owners to achieve operational excellence across Wells Fargo

  • Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques, tools, and services to improve process performance and product quality

  • Collaborates with Project Manager(s) and Sponsors to ensure process re-engineering, deliverables, and tools are integrated into the project plan appropriately

  • Aids in the development, capability and advancement of our common enterprise Operational and Process Excellence framework, methods, techniques, tools, training, and language

  • Collaborate and partner with other enterprise programs or initiatives to help advance the goals of those efforts while advancing the culture of operational excellence

  • Develop ideas and insights to leadership in process redesign, continuous improvement, and operational excellenceWork as an experienced level process consultant who will organize, lead, and facilitate large scale companywide strategic redesign projects

  • Ensure effective relationships among the design teams

  • Identify complex analyses and apply results to initiatives that support recommendations for optimal approaches; including proposed technology, staff and structure changes, and cost estimates

  • Partner with executives and more experienced managers companywide to help define the business strategy

  • Create and execute corresponding business plans and initiatives

  • Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Interact with internal customers

  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Process Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • LEAN/Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certification or Wells Fargo business process management endorsement.

  • Management consulting experience at a top-tier consulting firm or financial institution

  • An independent thinker who brings initiative, creativity, energy, discipline, and commitment to the role

  • Ability to reduce complex issues/problems into clear directions and presentations

  • Ability to facilitate and operate with confidence in front of an executive leadership team

  • Exceptional organization and planning abilities

  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) software such as iGrafx

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills

Job Expectations:

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

  • Willingness to work on-site in one of the listed locations

  • Up to 10% Travel
