Senior Data Scientist

*Hybrid: 2 remote days per week

Kelly is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to work with our client in the insurance industry on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a company that is considered small-to-medium-sized while also being sophisticated, challenging, technical, growing rapidly, and positioned for future success.

The Senior Data Scientist will:

• Find data driven insights, monitor the production and risk profile of the company’s book, and automate key metric reporting

• Run custom SQL queries

• Build automated reports in Power BI for both internal and external use

• Use advanced data science techniques to improve reporting capabilities

• Manipulate and repackage data for modeling purposes

• Discern relevant information from large datasets and present the information clearly and concisely

• Use data visualization techniques and tools to create reports for internal and external use

• Use analytical and technical skills to automate processes

• Actively monitor metrics including but not limited to territory growth, retention, and profitability goals

• Provide support to the Data Scientist Manager

Qualifications:

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant field

• Experience in the insurance industry with strong preference for property/casualty

• At least 1 year of experience with data visualization

• Excellent Excel specific skills

• Experience with SQL or similar database manipulation language

• Knowledge of PowerBI or similar data visualization software

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with database management is a plus

• Knowledge of machine learning preferred
