What you’ll need to succeed as a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience

  • 2 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), including budgeting and forecasting experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills with the ability to create complex formulas

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

  • CPA, CMA, CFA or applicable professional designation

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to various user groups

  • Able to think critically and leverage available resources to troubleshoot reporting issues and data anomalies

  • Strong drive to seek continuous improvement in reports and processes during companywide growth and expansion

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Assist in the budgeting, planning and forecasting processes working closely with the BU finance teams and the Corporate finance teams. Prepare schedules and presentations for senior management

  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the consolidate forecast including KPIs, Revenue, Margin, EBITDA, operating expenses, Organic Revenue, Capex and Free Cash Flow

  • Generate, maintain and ensure accuracy of weekly and monthly financial review process; determine key drivers of over/underperformance and communicate variances to senior managment

  • Assist in Monthly Operating Reviews through the preparation of schedules and presentations for senior management that communicate operational and financial performance, issues requiring intervention, their status and suggested solutions

  • Complete ad hoc reporting to support senior management and business decisions
