AIG SCUP Sr. Technology Release Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

About the role

The Standard Commercial Underwriting Program (SCUP) is a multi year initiative to transform AIG’s underwriting business processes, products, and technology solutions. SCUP is a high-paced, high-intensity environment leading the underwriting transformation at AIG. The portfolio Release Lead will own the global release plan & the capability roadmap for each release and will own cross-capability dependencies.

What you need to know:

  • How to own & maintain the consolidated capability plans (from requirements, design, dev & test),

  • The ability to identify cross-team/program dependencies.

  • Knowledge of policy or claims insurance transformation delivery, agile release planning principles and release transition to BAU.

  • The ability to execute complex end-to-end transformation delivery projects and programs.

    What we’re looking for:

Experience

  • 10+ years delivering complex system integration projects

  • 5+ years of hands-on management or DevOps

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

  • Ability to function in a demanding matrixed environment

  • Strong global IT Delivery experience and expertise in P&C insurance transformation

  • Strong understanding of modern IT architecture, development methodology and automation

  • Ability to operate and have credibility with senior business executives (e.g. BU CEOs, COOs etc..)

  • Consulting or project transformation experience at an expert level

  • Leadership – Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well.

  • Excellent team building and coaching skills.

  • Can successfully organize and direct large teams of people.

  • Energetic leader with a positive attitude and a go-getter drive.

  • Ability to effectively interact with senior management

  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and ability for productive collaboration across varying departments.

  • Comfortable building relationships, internally and externally

  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient

  • Comfortable in voicing his/her opinion and representing the viewpoints of others in a productive manner

  • Ability to deal well with ambiguity, conflict and difficult situations, and ability to deal with change in a pro-active and positive manner
