Robert Half Procedure Governance Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description

We are seeking a skilled Procedure Governance Specialist to support the governance routine of creating, editing, approving, and maintaining various operational documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Aids, Quick Reference Guides, Control Processes, Letters, Templates, and User Guides. This role involves working closely with internal and external business units to ensure alignment with regulatory standards, specifically within the banking industry, and requires in-depth knowledge of Regulation E.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal business lines to understand their operations, rules, and regulations.

  • Work with external partners, including legal, compliance, and marketing teams, to align with current policies and regulations.

  • Conduct thorough research and testing to ensure all documented instructions are accurate and compliant.

  • Seek and document appropriate approvals from relevant business units.

  • Manage the creation and maintenance of SOPs, job aids, and reference guides.

  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to document necessary steps and actions.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in process or procedure governance (flexible on years if strong Regulation E knowledge is demonstrated).

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Strong judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a consultative and collaborative approach.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective communication routines with all team members.

  • Proven experience in Regulation E within the banking industry is essential.

  • Familiarity with tools like Google Sheets for managing SOPs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills and experience working with multiple business partners.

  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable steps.

  • Previous experience in a governance or documentation role within the financial services sector.

Work Environment:

  • Initial training will be conducted in-office, with a hybrid model to follow (Tuesdays and Wednesdays mandatory in-office, remaining days remote).

  • Collaborative work environment with opportunities to engage across multiple teams and departments.
