About The Role:

As a CBRE Occupancy Planning Manager, you will be the lead “trusted advisor” who owns the regional occupancy management delivery and acts as an extension to the real estate group by providing complex research, data mining/analysis, reporting, and interpretation of space planning metrics to provide strategic portfolio recommendations and proposed solutions for a client's occupancy needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the client relationship as the subject matter authority with both the client real estate facilities group and the individual business units.

  • Analyze space requirements and provide conceptual test fits and recommendations to real estate team(s) and/or partners to support the client’s strategic portfolio initiatives.

  • Identify strategic opportunities for the client by “thinking creatively” to provide potential workplace optimization opportunities by applying industry current best practices.

  • Assist and develop site-specific planning initiatives with Real Estate and internal stakeholders to contribute to portfolio strategy.

  • Produce presentations for occupancy options and user requirement briefs for internal partners and client-facing steering committee meetings

  • Conduct analysis and review of work areas to ensure that current locations and office availability is reflected accurately. Collaborate with other team members to gain business intelligence. Responsible for occupancy data within Serraview system. May be required to manage space walks for validation and update of occupancy metrics.

  • Work closely with service partners on move and relocation sequencing and execution. Liaise with Change Management teams as needed.

  • Develop scenario planning tools/models (exit/maintain/grow). Prepare forecasts and analyze occupancy trends in general business conditions. Engage with clients on programming data, program/load neighborhood tools, develop neighborhoods, adjacency diagrams stack plans, etc.

  • Attend client meetings; draft meeting minutes and acquire approvals to proceed when required. Conduct interviews and discussions with clients to gather, coordinate, and synthesize project requirements, as well as functional, operational, and cultural issues.

  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) for key systems/processes in subject teams and day-to-day functions.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Experience working with life sciences facilities.

  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to tackle slightly sophisticated problems.

  • Ability to review possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Proficiency in CAFM/IWMS.

  • Familiarity with system furniture design and modular furniture while demonstrating knowledge and adherence to building regulations and health & safety guidelines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an inquisitive mentality.

  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Occupancy Planning Manager position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $140,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
