Novant Health Medical Credentialing Coordinator CVO in Charlotte, North Carolina

Overview

Responsible for leading, coordinating and managing the credentialing and reappointment process for physician, advanced professional, and practitioner support staff applications according to the standards set by the Novant Health Credentialing Council, affiliated entities’ Medical Staff Bylaws, applicable regulatory agency standards and Federal Law. Provides support to practitioners and practice managers in the application and credentialing process. Also responsible for keeping the Manager and Leaders of the Novant Health Credentialing &Medical Staff Operations (CMSO) Central Office informed about the progress of all applications through the process.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.

  • Experience: Three (3) years of Credentialing, Provider Enrollment or Medical Staff Office experience required.

  • Licensure/Certification: Certification by NAMSS (CPCS or CPMSM), preferred.

  • Additional Skills (required):

  • Ability to efficiently handle designated responsibilities independently in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Ability to positively interact with physicians, hospital personnel, and guests both in the office and on the phone.

  • Working knowledge of personal computers and software, including credentialing database, Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and other Windows environment programs.

  • Ability to work in an electronic environment and meet multiple deadlines.

  • Ability to be flexible and function in a fast-paced environment, multi-task environment with flexibility as needed often with with frequent interruptions.

  • Ability to appropriately adhere to all of the Novant Service Standards.

  • Must be able to follow instructions and policies and learn these appropriately.

  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calmly and effectively in difficult situations.

  • Ability to be a team player and take initiative.
