Spectrum Manager, Corporate Physical Security in Charlotte, North Carolina
This role plans and directs the region’s Physical Risk Analysis function and physical security functions under the guidance of the Director of Corporate Security. Accountable for planning, developing and implementing enterprise-wide physical security and risk analysis programs and strategies. Directs activities to ensure compliance with company policies, legal and regulatory requirements. Represents the Corporate Security on various market and/or area committees and working groups. Conducts briefings with departmental management, corporate management, legal and law enforcement as necessary. This position will assume the Director of Corporate Security responsibilities in their absence.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Oversee day to day of physical risk analysis functions and physical security functions
Accountable for product review, progress reporting, and document tracking for physical security risk projects/products, sometimes under short time constraints
Track activity, incidents and physical security needs
Conduct, prepare, and document investigations for referral to Human Resources, Charter Legal, or law enforcement agencies with minimal supervision
Manage the facility security assessment process and ensures compliance with security standards, policies and procedures
Cultivate the security team by assigning responsibility, managing accountability and providing opportunities for growth
Coordinate finance for capital security project activities with department program
Develop standards and procedures for physical security projects that implement systems for the protection of company personnel, assets and information
Ensure that the security programs and strategies of the organization are effectively implemented and maintained
Manage, coordinate, and assure the quality of activities of technical and support staff within the department
In coordination with the Director, coordinate the finances of all capital security project activities with department program and hold budgetary responsibility for outsourced services
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completion
Ability to use arithmetic skills accurately to complete daily paperwork
Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills, as well as the ability to deal with all levels of people, both inside and outside the company
Effective verbal presentation and written communication skills
Comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice, court system and private security regulations
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Knowledge of Federal, state or local regulations relevant to the company (i.e., PCI, CPNI, SOX, HIPAA, and data privacy affecting theft of cable service preferred)
Understanding of the complexities of software and networking; how the systems work together
Accuracy and attention to detail
Comprehensive understanding of physical security threats and investigations
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
- Combined experience in conducting investigations in the military, local law enforcement or corporate security environments - 10+ Management experience - 2+ Experience managing business resumption/recovery programs
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Working knowledge of Charter Communication’s incident management and project tracking systems
PSP (Physical Security Professional - Certification)
CPP (Certified Protection Professional)
Intermediate knowledge of data analytics and social media tools for risk/threat mitigation and internal communications
Working Conditions
Office environment
Up to 30% Travel with the ability to work hours outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification required
