The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Scope of Position:

The intern will learn about the Software Asset Management Policy, why it is important, what we do to enforce the policy, and how we keep Corning safe, compliant, and cost controlled. As a Software Asset Manager Intern, you will be assisting in the management and optimization of software assets throughout their lifecycle. This includes tracking software licenses, compliance, and utilization, as well as aiding in the development and implementation of software asset management policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Will partner with team lead on improving data integrity and reporting capabilities within our SAM Pro Asset Management tool. This will include working on entitlement information in our license workbench as well as re-harvesting of unused licenses.

  • Intern will also partner with VMO and GSM to learn and understand our software ordering process and sit in on process improvement workshops.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science (related)

  • Relevant experience a plus

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products

  • Experience with Data analytics

  • Experience with Power Apps (is a plus)

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later

  • Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
