Wells Fargo Investment Banking Program Analyst - Structured Products Group (SPG) in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join their Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) team within the Structured Products Group (SPG). The ABS group provides structured lending and securitization services to core clients originating or investing in non-mortgage consumer and commercial receivables.
In this role, you will:
Assist in the marketing, origination, execution and portfolio management of lending facilities and capital markets transactions
Specialize in Financial Institution coverage across structured product alternatives
Work as part of a client coverage team in creating pitch books, marketing materials for securitizations
Develop rating agency presentations, term sheets, underwriting memos, as well as negotiating legal documentation
Support senior bankers on the deal team, through active involvement in all aspects of the deal origination and execution process
Closely partner with various constituencies across Wells Fargo, including Credit Risk, Sales and Trading, Syndicate, Investment Banking Coverage, Corporate Banking Coverage, DCM, Leveraged Finance, Compliance, and Legal
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months financial services industry experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience in or related to securitization is a plus
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry
The ability to operate with urgency and prioritize work accordingly
Proven ability to take on significant responsibility with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused, and collaborative team environment
Energetic self-starter who is flexible, organized, conscientious, proactive, and detail-oriented
Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
Product knowledge, technical expertise, transaction execution and negotiation skills
A BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, finance, or related field
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
