Aerotek Heavy Equipment Operator in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Charlotte, NC

Job Description

We are a small to mid-sized grading company currently experiencing a busy period due to the summertime workload. We are seeking skilled Field Technicians to assist with the site preparation of our grading sites. We are in need of several pipe laborers, pipe layers, trackhoe, and bulldozer technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Perform both rough and fine grading responsibilities on site.

  • Assist with the installation of pipe by measuring material and bringing it to the pipe layers.

  • Dig and maintain an organized work environment.

  • Shovel curb and pull string lines as part of the Fine Grade Crew.

Essential Skills

  • Blueprint reading

  • Site development

  • Grading

  • Operating bulldozer

  • Pipe laying

  • Operating trackhoe

  • Roller operation

  • Skid steer operation

  • Using grade stakes

  • Skilled labor experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of prior construction experience or working outside on a landscape crew.

  • Experience operating any equipment is highly considered.

Work Environment

Candidates will be working on an open construction site, exposed to the elements. Be prepared to get dirty, walk a lot, and work comfortably in the sun.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $25.00
