McDonald's General Manager in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

Description:

The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for making sure

the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and

Cleanliness. The General Manager works with his/her leadership team to set the

restaurant's goals and creates a plan to achieve excellent results. He or she leads a team

of Department Managers and Shift Managers that have specific responsibilities in the

restaurant. This means helping the Department Managers and Shift Managers to set their

own goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve

their departments. The General Manager is also a coach and resource to crew members

and helps them better serve our customers. This position requires a comprehensive

knowledge of McDonald's restaurant operations, people leadership, attention to detail,

and the ability to set goals and execute effectively. The General Manager primarily

maintains a presence on the floor serving customers as well as performing some

administrative and office work. This job requires the flexibility to work nights and

weekends, as needed. The General Manager is responsible for communicating within their

store leadership team and organizational leadership team, which includes answering

phone calls and responding to urgent matters when outside of traditional working hours.

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting salary is commensurate with experience. Experienced General Managers can earn

Responsibilities:

• Supervising food safety and cleanliness procedures to ensure the team is meeting

McDonald's standards

• Setting/achieving targets during shifts and each month, to help restaurant meet

their goals

• Taking action to monitor and improve safety, security, labor, food cost, inventory,

and profitability

• Assisting with the creation of manager and crew schedules and managing labor

controls

• Counting inventory, completing truck orders and identifying opportunities for cost

savings

• Maintaining restaurant cleanliness and ensuring maintenance routines are

completed

• Providing exceptional customer service and improving overall satisfaction metrics

• Achieving successful graded visit results

• Conduct frequent execution visits with follow-up improvement plan and training

• Following up and correcting constructive feedback from customers

• Conduct manager walk throughs and restaurant results recaps

• Building guest counts and sales through all omni channels

• Coach, lead and be resourceful to restaurant managers and crew

• Conduct interviews, hire, train and retain restaurant employees

• Meeting deadlines and key performance indicators

• Responding to urgent requests in a timely matter

• Responsible for staffing scheduling and coverage for restaurant operations

• Ability to perform physical tasks related to working in a restaurant environment,

including lifting to 50 pounds, bending, standing, sitting, crouching

Schedule:

This is a salaried management position. The General Manager maintains a presence in

their store an average of 40-50 hours per week. The General Manager is generally on-site

during the day, with occasional night/overnight and weekend requirements, based on

staffing and management coverage needs.

Supervision:

This position is responsible for the direct supervision of Department Managers, Certified

Shift Managers, and crew members. The General Manager will directly report to the

Operations Supervisor and indirectly report to the Chief Administrative Officer and

Owner/Operator.

Requirements:

• 18+ years of age

• Prior Quick Service Restaurant experience

• Ability to travel between home store and nearby organization stores

• Ability to access and utilize technology, such as email, word processing, Excel, and

McDonald's computer systems

• Applicants must have 2+ years of McDonald's Management Experience

• Department management experience preferred

• ServSafe certification required
