Job Description

The Fiduciary Operational Risk Management Oversight position will provide independent operational fiduciary risk oversight from the second line of defense regarding the Banks’s fiduciary and trust operational support functions to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, guidance, and regulations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working with business lines and support partners to identify, document and mitigate fiduciary operational risks and their related controls.

  • Having appropriate knowledge and staying current on applicable fiduciary operational topics, industry trends, and risks and how they impact the Bank’s fiduciary business lines.

  • Maintaining relationships and collaborating with other second line oversight groups as it relates to operational risk mitigation.

  • Consulting on business line operational risk procedures, control design and training.

  • Performing risk assessments on new products, processes and third parties.

  • Reviewing marketing material reviews prior to distribution to intended end recipients.

  • Documenting, assessing and oversighting applicable operational risks and controls within the enterprise risk framework tools (RCSA and ECRA).

  • Participating in regulatory change management and business change projects as needed.

  • Developing and monitoring first line and second line of defense fiduciary operational risk metrics and key risk indicators.

  • Participate in regulatory exam processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically more than six years of experience in fiduciary operational risk management, compliance, internal auditing, public accounting, or other relevant operational risk management experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Demonstratable knowledge of fiduciary operational risks and impacts regarding personal trust and other fiduciary products, OCC related Handbooks and operational support functions.

  • Emotional ownership – self-starter with high energy, motivation, commitment to excellence and positive approach to business challenges.

  • Willingness to challenge processes and propose solutions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively up and down the organization to influence outcomes.

  • Comfort running multiple high priority tasks with business line management visibility.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results as a sole contributor and as a team member.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $95,285.00 - $112,100.00 - $123,310.00
