We are looking for an experienced, motivated Manager of Global Digital Field Service to drive and support the transformation and growth of the Carrier HVAC Global Service & Aftermarket business! The Manager of Global Digital Field Service will be responsible for the overall Global field service impact of digital technologies, associated cost productivity and efficiency of the Global Service delivery model, delivering results including increased Digital connectivity across assets, associated field labor cost reduction, and improvement in the Service Delivery model. The successful candidate will ensure year-over-year growth in margin driven by lower variable costs and tangible improvements in the service delivery model as a result of digital connection and the use of digital tools and assets.
The role reports to the Associate Director of Global Field Operations for the Commercial HVAC business. It will work within the cross-functional team, including the Digital Services team, across the globe to drive operational rigor around connectivity targets and benefits for each region. The Manager of Global Digital Field Service will be the key interface with the Regional business units to ensure execution, connection, and delivery against Global Service-connected service targets!
The role will be based in Charlotte and will require 30 to 50% travel.
The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan and execute field efficiency and enablement initiatives, including IT and Digital initiatives. Strong project management skills are required to manage multiple projects spread across different regions. They must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient and effective ways to perform service at optimal cost to the business. The goal is to increase digital execution and efficiency, reduce the cost of operations and service delivery to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.
The major tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the role include:
Partner with Digital team to develop solutions that drive cost productivity
Develop short term and long-term strategies to deliver on key business targets around connectivity and associated productivity
Ensure execution of connectivity of target units in each region
Develop efficient tools to track, monitor, and measure the effectiveness of implemented projects
Leverage best practices from one region to another
Work with different regions to identify opportunities & drive them to closure
Supervise key metrics, KPIs and develop action plans for improving company profits that contribute to sustained improvement in execution and customer delivery
Recognize, empower high performing employees by sharing standard methodologies
Identify new opportunities through Digital tools around remote monitoring & diagnostics
Develop and introduce new proposals and technology to enhance digital productivity
Collaborate with Regional business leads to integrate new or existing services
Collaborate closely with the finance team to determine the need for required investments and ensure return on the investments
Recommend training, standard work, and work shifts and duties to ensure efficient operations
Assist in the creation, improvement, and oversee the implementation of field tools to enhance operational effectiveness
Implement cadence and rigor on best practices, benchmarking, KPIs, and metrics aligned with Global Service metrics
Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
Education and Training: Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or operations management, or in other similar fields. 6-10 years experience working in a field-based technology/equipment industry preferably—experience in a project management position in a global company.
High-level understanding of financial performance indicators
Validated problem-solving skills: strategic solutions to address operational issues optimally
Strong communications and interpersonal skills: ability to lead and empower teams, work across company departmental heads and field businesses to ensure smooth work operations
Time management skills: achieve operational objectives within set deadlines.
Good digital literacy: knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications such as MS Office and ability to navigate SalesForce.com, ServiceMax, ERP, and other business applications
