Indirect Consumer Governance & Quality Assurance Manager position to provide leadership and support for operational governance in Consumer Indirect Lending Operations which includes DFS & RAC Product Refunds, DFS Funding and Support and SFC Servicing to optimize executional excellence and promote exceptional operational risk management. Maintain specialization and expertise in specific areas of governance, including regulatory requirements, legal requirements, quality assurance, policy and procedures oversight, control oversight, issues management, redress management, and change risk management.

Strong governance position to guide structure for build out and adherence to CFPB Exam Request for DFS & RAC Product Refunds and Truist & RAC Total loss build out/enhancements to support additional regulatory requirements, in addition to SFC monitoring and control build out and support for servicing.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing resources, developing and implementing an operational plan and ensuring that department's procedures are carried out in guidance with legal and regulatory procedures/policies while mitigating risk. Manage multi-site, multi-departmental, or high-touch high-risk team. Evaluates organizational efficiency and makes necessary changes to maximize staff productivity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support Dealer Retail Services, Direct to Consumer, Small Business, Wealth, and Premier portfolios.

  2. Provide leadership and management oversight to achieve processing and performance results of the highest quality, which are in accordance and consistent with corporate objectives, legal and regulatory compliance.

  3. Direct and lead teammate development and engagement. Make decisions for teammates regarding employment, career and professional development, performance evaluations, salary changes, promotions, transfers and terminations within established policies and guidelines.

  4. Plan and develop multiple departmental profit plans within established guidelines; administer compliance to meet budgetary goals and negotiate changes as required. Provide monthly reforecast, variance explanations and trend analysis to Management.

  5. Responsible for all aspects of directing, planning, scheduling, coordinating and leading activities at multiple assigned locations.

  6. Responsible for creation and implementation of business recovery, business impact analysis and alternate site strategies for critical and essential Bank functions. Activities include managing associate resources, pandemic strategies, communication strategies, technology recovery, equipment needs and vendor resources.

  7. Ensure compliance and risk mitigation through review, revision and application of policies, procedures and controls meeting regulatory, legal and audit requirements.

  8. Foster a results-oriented team that continuously evaluates existing operations and new technologies. Implement strategies to improve quality, productivity and efficiency within all areas of responsibility.

  9. Manage risk for complex regulatory and compliance processes on behalf of the Community Bank.

  10. Manage offshore team(s) and ensure their production, quality, and processes meet or exceed Truist standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, or other related field.

  2. Ten years of experience in banking; Ten years of management experience.

  3. Exhibits effective leadership skills that produce results from coaching, delegating and development of teammates.

  4. Creative, flexible, decisive and adaptable to dynamically changing and demanding business/production environment

  5. Thorough analytical, planning and quality control, problem-solving and crisis management skills

  6. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.

  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written; ability to successfully interact with and influence all levels of management and staff.

  8. Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Excellent time and people management skills

  9. Thorough understanding of process and production management principles.

  10. Ability to travel, greater than 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Business, or other related field

  2. Graduate of internal or external banking leadership program.
