Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller based preferably eastern time zone. This role is integral to our team, with responsibilities ranging from managing event budgets to improving cost allocation for each project. As a Controller, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including maintaining financial statements, managing collections from clients, and payments to vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement accounting procedures to streamline our financial operations

• Maintain and present financial statements such as income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow forecast on a monthly basis

• Manage event budgets to ensure efficient allocation of resources

• Handle collections from clients and payments to vendors in a timely and professional manner

• Oversee payroll processes

• Improve the cost allocation for each project to enhance financial transparency

• Create a more efficient way to use Quickbooks and Google Sheets for financial management

• Utilize QuickBooks for various tasks, including month-end close, account analysis, and automating processes

• Leverage your knowledge of tax regulations and annual tax processes to ensure compliance

• Draw on your startup experience to drive improvements and efficiencies within the organization.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in the related field

• Demonstrable proficiency in using QuickBooks

• Proven experience in Month End Close procedures

• Strong ability in Budgeting and forecast preparation

• Proficient in Account Analysis

• Experience in Automating Processes for efficiency

• Familiarity with Annual Tax preparation and filing

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; a Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus

• Strong leadership skills and experience in team management

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask efficiently

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and financial reporting software.
