Please review the following job description:

Build valuable relationships with business leaders to translate business, client, and product strategies into supporting marketing strategies; applies knowledge of customer/client behavior for the business and provides insights into product strategy development as well as segmentation and targeting. Collaborate with internal and external marketing partners to develop and execute marketing programs for the business and ensure alignment of all strategies to the Truist Purpose and Brand.

In this role you will support multiple consumer bank businesses with sales teams requiring tools to grow their books of business. You will support these businesses by developing tools and marketing campaigns to increase consideration, assist sellers in conversations with clients and referral partners, and support sales initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Apply in-depth knowledge of marketing best practices derived from experience to solve a range of complex technical and operational problems.

  2. Lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives, utilizing all marketing channels including digital.

  3. Exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

  4. Impact a range of client, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.

  5. Act as a resource for teammates with less experience.

  6. Work independently and receive minimal guidance.

  7. May have people management responsibilities for a small team.

  8. Deliver marketing programs on budget and on time.

  9. Develop creative that is integrated and tells our story in a cohesive way.

  10. Using data to inform what we do and how we do it while ensuring alignment to the sales process.

  11. Support our "shift to digital" by creating effective marketing campaigns so we rely less on printed/paper materials.

  12. Create effective education and awareness vehicles that help increase usage and adoption of marketing campaigns and materials.

  13. Find efficiencies that increase speed-to-market while maintaining strong risk management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent education and related training

  2. Four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  3. In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the Marketing discipline (e.g., Marketing P’s, Market research, analytics, digital)

  4. Experience managing projects or project work streams

  5. Knowledge of the clients and industry's competitive landscape and the factors that differentiate Truist and its competitors in the market

  6. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders

  7. Ability to provide direction, and mentor less experienced teammates

  8. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA or Master's degree in related field

  2. Six years of related experience

  3. Previous experience in financial services, retail or packaged goods industries

  4. Consumer/Commercial/Corporate/Wealth banking product and/or segment marketing experience
