Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.

CMLM is part of the Finance function of Wells Fargo and provides liquidity management for all capital markets activities of the firm. Wells Fargo Securities, LLC (WFS LLC) provides investment banking and capital markets products and services to mid-market, large, and Fortune 500 companies. WFS LLC is registered as a broker-dealer with the SEC and all state securities regulators. It is a member of FINRA. WFS LLC is also a registered Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and is a member of the National Futures Association (NFA). WFS LLC is designated a primary dealer by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York

As an institutional broker-dealer and FCM, WFS LLC's primary activities include the following:

  • Fixed income and equity securities underwriting

  • Primary dealer activities

  • Securities sales and trading (including, but not limited to U.S. Treasuries, agencies, high-grade corporate securities, high-yield corporate securities, trust-preferred securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), residential MBS (RMBS), asset-backed securities (ABS), equities, and municipal securities)

  • Reverse repurchase (repo) financing and repo funding

  • Securities borrowing and lending

  • FCM activities

  • Prime Brokerage services

This role within CMLM will work closely with the CMLM management team focused on providing reporting and analytics for WFS LLC funding and liquidity metrics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the business model of the WFS LLC including all aspects related to funding

  • Tracking the secured funding activities of the broker dealer

  • Analyzing the liquidity risk associated with the WFS LLC business activities

  • Compiling reports pertaining to funding and liquidity metrics

  • Compiling internal liquidity stress tests

  • Gaining an understanding of the financial plumbing of WFS LLC (i.e., settlement process)

  • Responding to regulatory requests for stress testing and liquidity reporting

  • Working with CMLM management to compile information into presentations

  • Maintaining awareness of relevant market developments such as alternative forms of funding for broker dealers

  • Developing knowledge of technology platforms and operational aspects of funding

  • Understanding of funding, capital and liquidity implications under different regulatory requirements including Basel III Capital, Liquidity Coverage Ratio, Net Stable Funding Ratio, and Supplementary Leverage Ratio

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Hyperion Essbase experience

  • Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in capital markets or regulatory agencies with a focus on analysis

  • Experience using business intelligence tools such as Microstrategy, Excel, asset/liability systems, VBA

  • Bloomberg knowledge
