Location: Redwood City, CA - Hybrid

Job Description: As Application Transformation Architect, you will play a pivotal role in guiding through the process of designing, migrating, adopting, and optimizing cloud-based solutions. Your primary focus will be to assess current infrastructure and applications, design strategic cloud solutions based on approved architecture standards and patterns and guide the implementation of Application transformation initiatives. You will work closely with layer architects and engineering teams to ensure a seamless transition to cloud services, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities:

Assessment and Planning:

• Evaluate existing infrastructure, applications, and business processes to identify opportunities for cloud adoption based on the 6R framework.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and define clear cloud migration strategies.

Cloud Solution Design:

• Design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud architectures based on industry best practices, approved architecture standards, and patterns.

• Design appropriate patterns for application integration including APIs and messaging, application, data movement, transformation.

• Select appropriate approved cloud services and technologies to meet specific business requirements.

• Work with Architecture and Engineering teams to get any additional services approved.

Implementation and Migration:

• Lead the architectural execution of Application transformation projects, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

• Work with engineering teams to Implement cloud infrastructure, configure services, and manage data migration processes to support the Application Transformation.

• Support and Partner with Tetris Management Office in smoothly executing the Application transformation.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with program management, layer architects and engineering teams, and security teams, to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates transformation architecture and address any architecture concerns.

Optimization and Performance Monitoring:

• Continuously assess and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security and partner with Application and Infrastructure team in addressing these concern

• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues.

Security and Compliance:

• Partner with Security team to design, Implement and enforce security best practices in cloud environments.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Training and Knowledge Sharing:

• Provide architecture related training and support to internal teams for effective use of approved cloud services and patterns.

• Share knowledge and best practices to promote a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Custom Application Development experience, preferably on Cloud

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, migration methodologies, and best practices.

• Proven experience in Application Transformation to cloud, designing and implementing cloud solutions (AWS (primary), Azure, Google Cloud), and architecture patterns.

• Deep knowledge of the 6R methodology for cloud adoption

• Strong understanding and experience in DevSecOps practices and tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect needed. AWS certification preferred.
