Hendrick Automotive Company Analyst - Product and Pricing in Charlotte, North Carolina

Summary: The position requires excellent analytical skills to support the analysis, pricing and management of Autoguard’s products. In the product analyst role, you will evaluate Autoguard’s products, comparing them against competitor offerings and matching them with market trends. You will evaluate historical loss ratio performance. A key element of this role is the effective utilization of database analysis programs to provide timely results and recommendations. The role has significant interaction with Nationsguard’s external customers which requires excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. However, due to the scope of responsibilities the position may direct the work of others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: ▪ Support manager of Product and Pricing in executing annual pricing reviews (essential to risk management) o Markup /MSRP Analysis ▪ Participate in Contract/Forms construction/submission and approval management ▪ Respond to product requests from our dealerships ▪ Respond to ad-hoc product pricing reviews from dealership management ▪ Implement agreed upon pricing changes ▪ Analyze and assess risk on potential new products i.e. o Electric Vehicle Coverages ▪ Attend and contribute to meetings with external product vendors ▪ Maintain awareness of and analyze the competitive landscape of Autoguard products compared with competitors (including the OEM). ▪ Contribute to and test pricing changes in GEARS ▪ Provide analysis on Pay Plans and Incentive Programs ▪ Involvement in a myriad of other projects to support Autoguard, i.e. o CPO Changes (Honda, Acura, VW, MB, Toyota, JLR o Test script development o Manufacturer Comparison (new car in particular) o Comprehensive offering reviews o One-Price Strategy/Analytics and modeling▪ Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values. ▪ Complies with Company policies and procedures. ▪ Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties. ▪ Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree; plus two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of graduate education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

√ Valid Driver’s License

Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Experience data base analysis programs (i.e. SQL) preferred.

Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with company personnel.

Attendance Expectations: The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled hours may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays to meet required deadlines.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Environment Demands: Duties are performed primarily an office environment in the management office. Position requires frequent interaction with Management Office employees.

Verbal and Writing Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Math Ability: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and reports.
