Siemens Energy Generator Advanced Planner in Charlotte, North Carolina

Siemens Energy is seeking an energetic individual for the role of Generator Advanced Planner for the Charlotte factory. This is an extremely dynamic role that enables you to regularly work with different organizational units with a focus on forecasting, inventory, and capacity planning. The Advanced Planner interacts with various teams such as Project Management, Engineering, Accounting, Supply Management, Manufacturing, etc. to keep track of progress, key customer achievements, long lead material availability and overall tracking to the Plan. While highly interactive, this role also provides autonomy and growth opportunities in a multitude of areas to cultivate a variety of work experiences.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with Global Load Planning and Service Marketing to support potential Sales and Service needs and provide estimates related to available manufacturing slots based on the specified.

  • Work with the Bid Management team members and business partners for proposals and lead-time/scheduling estimates.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing on resource leveling and Takt execution. Provide detailed analysis of bottleneck resources and coordinate with Manufacturing to optimize those resources.

  • Provide Regular Production Schedules with Current Status and Major Milestones.

  • Produce Labor Estimates and Inventory Forecasts for Plant Management.

  • Assist Project Management by supporting Customer Requirements and Scope Changes.

  • Support and collaborate with various Teams in supporting Customer Requirements and Manufacturing to create an efficient production plan to optimize our workforce.

What You Bring (requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in a related field with a Manufacturing focus, Business or related field with 8+ years proven industry experience.

  • Strong SAP background required.

  • Expertise in MS Project and Excel.

  • SFDC (Salesforce.com) experience preferred. Previous forecasting experience preferred. Technical knowledge of Generator components preferred.

  • Excellent analytical approach with the ability to achieve results! Solid communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external business partners.

  • Robust knowledge and experience with multiple problem-solving and process improvement methodologies.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
