Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist, a key figure in our Machinery Manufacturing industry based in Charlotte, North Carolina. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your role will involve managing various financial processes, ensuring the efficient operation of our purchasing ledger, and fostering great relationships with both internal and external suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the smooth operation of the Accounts Payable Department.

• Conduct monthly closing processes and ledger reconciliations.

• Manage and maintain excellent relationships with external suppliers and intercompany associates.

• Ensure prompt and efficient responses to all queries by the Accounts Payable team.

• Provide daily support to Accounts Payable and other Finance Team members.

• Monitor the Accounts Payable email on a daily basis.

• Reconcile Vendor Statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for.

• Aid in the upkeep and updating of the ERP system.

• Meet deadlines as required by the group and work effectively with both internal and external auditors.

• Support the 2 different business operations on a day-to-day basis.

• Assist in Payment runs including ACH & printing of checks to vendors.

• Research unvouchered inventory receipts report.

• Balance Inter-company AR to ICE including discussions & Dispute flags as required.

• Apply inter-company Netting from ICE as per schedules. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations

• Ability to create and manage Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Prior experience in a machinery manufacturing industry would be advantageous

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
