West Virginia Employer District Executive Field Position in Charleston, West Virginia

BFOQ Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to pass a criminal, reference & motor vehicle backgound check. Must be willing to accept & meet BSA's leadership standards and the Scout Oath and Law. *The district executive lives in and serves as the manager and operating officer of the district and is responsible for the effective organization, operation, and promotion of the council program within the district. Territory includes: Putnam, Mason & part of Kanawha Counties in West Virginia, Megis, Gallia & part of Lawerence Counties in Ohio. The district executive is responsible for the achievement of district objectives, including the goals. This person will work with volunteer staff to fulfill their functions and facilitate the optimum collaboration between the district and the council. The applicant must have at least a 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (transcript with the date degree conferred stated is required for employment). Desired Skills: Strong marketing, fund-raising and program development background is highly desired. Non-profit, fundraising or sales experience is a plus. Must be comfortable with public speaking and interacting with diverse audiences. Excellent people skills, enthusiastic, punctual, responsible, and creative. Self-motivated individual with solid time management skills and strong organizational skills in management, budgeting, and planning. Committed to personal and professional productivity, while maintaining high ethical and professional working standards.
