Description You might be the full-time Staff Accountant Robert Half is looking for, if you're interested in becoming a critical part of an innovative Real Estate Property/Facilities Mgt company. This position will challenge your skills as your juggle multiple components. Candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation, will be preferred for this Staff Accountant position. To thrive in this role, you will need to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. This Charleston, South Carolina area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. Your responsibilities in this role

• Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

• Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

• Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

• Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on Requirements

• Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

• Efficient in ERP systems

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• US GAAP experience

• Financial statement preparation experience required

• Deep understanding of Corporate Real Estate

• Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
