Job Description

Primary Responsibilities: The Director, Information Technology is primarily responsible for developing the IT Service Management (ITSM) structure within the company, leading the ITSM team to ensure business continuity and implementing IT projects. They will manage and grow the IT posture of the company while partnering with internal and external groups and departments for the best efficiencies. The Director, Information Technology will also provide hands-on support during emergencies, outages, and service transitions. Manage help desk process, budget, and staff for smooth, responsive operations. Ensure day-to-day operations of technology infrastructure, including networks, SaaS applications, users, etc. Schedule and budget maintenance and upgrades for optimum operational performance.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience required.

  • 8+ years of technology management experience

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Previous experience leading, evaluating, developing and influencing high performing teams

  • Experience with deployment and management of MDM solutions, EDR, patch management, LAN maintenance, ITSM, Active Directory and SIEM.

  • Familiarity with concepts of cybersecurity

  • VOIP/Call center Experience a plus

  • Understanding of the impact of IT on day-to-day operations

  • Knowledge in fair housing and local real estate laws, where applicable.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills in fast paced environment

  • Detail oriented, with the ability to produce high quality work in a deadline-oriented environment and an ability to multi-task

  • Ability to prove critical thinking and problem solving concepts

  • Experience working in a work schedule environment, including in-office operation, weekends and holidays, based on business need.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee ITSM tickets, establish standards/KPIs for success and monitor/report results

  • Develop and implement ITSM best practices

  • Manage and mentor existing ITSM staff

  • Assist and drive IT projects and initiatives in conjunction with technology departments

  • Employee training on IT systems, security, and general technology as needed

  • Assist VP of Software Engineering with budgeting and cost analysis

  • Provide input on enterprise IT strategy

  • Oversee the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Maymont Homes applications, networks, and enterprise information

  • Work with leadership team and VP Software Engineering to develop and deploy a business continuity plan.

  • Work closely with other department managers to assess growth needs and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure.

  • Work with VP of Software Engineering and IT team to implement IT programs such as MDM, domain improvements, active directory services, identity management, SSO, etc.

  • Vendor selection and management

  • Other duties, as assigned by supervisor or leadership team.

Key Metrics & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the stability and availability of the in office network.

  • Responds to helpdesk tickets and escalations as needed

  • Responsible for hiring and managing the IT support team.

  • 95% Ticket Closure for Tech Support Tickets

  • Responsible for inventory and selection of employee IT resources

  • Responsible for upgrades for IT resources

  • Responsible for security and availability of IT resources

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.

  • Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.

  • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities, to include the exchange and receipt of information over the telephone.

  • Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 25 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day. Must also be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary.

  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.

  • Must be able to work in small and confined spaces for extended periods of time.

  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.

Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances. For safety reasons, employee must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns.

  • Must be able to work effectively and cheerfully in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.

  • Must be able to work in office as regularly scheduled
