Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in the legal industry. This position is based in Charleston, South Carolina, and will require on-site work. As a Billing Clerk, you will be instrumental in supporting the Billing Team in various billing functions, including setting up files, reviewing information for accuracy, and submitting bills online.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up legal files accurately and in a timely manner

• Reviewing information for accuracy before submitting bills

• Submitting bills online using specific legal billing software

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data entry and tracking purposes

• Handling legal documentation and legal files with utmost care

• Assisting in the collection of billing statements

• Regularly updating and maintaining billing functions

• Handling and resolving any billing inquiries from clients

• Monitoring the status of billing collections and taking necessary actions for delinquent payments

• Working with a variety of legal software to ensure smooth operation of all billing functions. Requirements • Proficiency in Billing, Billing Collection, and Billing Functions

• Expertise in using Billing Software for Attorneys

• Ability to create and manage Billing Statements

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Legal Files and Legal Documentation

• Experience with Legal software

• Knowledge of the legal industry and its standards

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
