  1. Provides input to Supervisor on maintenance needs
  2. Looks for ways to improve efficiency and uptime and makes recommendations to Supervisor
  3. Keeps saw cab clean and neat
  4. Monitors machine to ensure panels are not being damaged by setting infeed throat plate and raise and lower skinner saw bed to correct panel thickness
  5. Grades panels per mill specifications
  6. Places correct grade stamps on panels
  7. Checks blow detector at every break to ensure it is operating correctly
  8. Checks panels for squareness, banana cut, width and length, and corrects measurements
  9. Ensures production reports are filled out correctly with downtime and panels processed
  10. Ensures blow pipes are keep free of debris
  11. Sweeps up saw dust and veneer scraps with a push broom
  12. Picks up scraps of veneer with shovel, rake, or by hand
  13. Paints various plant equipment and materials and barriers, framework, guards, etc.
  14. Follows Company policies, procedures and safety rules
