SAIC Test Engineer in CHANTILLY, Virginia
Description
SAIC is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Rushmore UES Operational Performance Evaluation Division (OPED) in Chantilly, VA supporting the NRO. As the Test Engineer you will work with multiple DoD test ranges, and other domestic and foreign ranges to coordinate and conduct cooperative evaluations. These cooperative evaluations are driven solely by IC or Military command requirements and submitted by organizations internal and external to our customer. The Test Engineer must possess an in-depth knowledge of SIGINT compliance process.
Job Duties To Include:
Edit/format technical reports, operational testing, and performance evaluation documents for language and technical content issues and prepare for publication
Address completeness and accuracy of technical information and ensure content reads logically at the proper level of complexity for intended audience
Work with multiple DoD test ranges and other domestic and foreign ranges to coordinate and conduct cooperative evaluations against a host of authentic real-world air defense threat radars, communication radios and emitters
Support the planning, execution, and completion of all field operation preforming evaluations by assisting the requirements definition, attending planning, meeting, and coordinating the test activities of the various site mission areas
Conduct exercise evaluations and execution of test against operation systems to include end-to-end assessment of national systems and deliver after-action reports and final technical reports
Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Develop highly technical plans (Word) and scripts (Excel) for each test activity and coordinate with test customers and test range facilities to ensure test resources are available and test requirements are met
Engage with technical representatives within the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department Of Defense (DOD) to formulate ideas on how OPED can support their needs through Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) testing, Customer system performance evaluations, hardware and software experiments, military and commercial technology demonstrations, and sensor capability assessments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 9+ year’s professional related experience
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly
Must be highly self-motivated; strong technical and leadership background; professional and tactful under pressure; effective negotiation and diplomatic skills
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, for coordinated communications with organizations and representatives throughout the IC and DOD, including senior military and government civilian personnel and contractors
Subject matter expert ins SIGINT, GEOINT, or MASINT)
Ability to travel up to 25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations
