Accenture Software Development Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years working experience in the following areas:

  • Development, integration, and production deployments.

  • Software development in maintaining existing software and development of new systems.

  • Lifecycle development of software systems using agile methodologies.

  • Cloud computing.

  • Writing complex queries using SQL and/or NoSQL systems.

  • Scalable, high performance data storage and retrieval systems.

  • Developing real time information collection applications.

  • Python programming

  • Experience with Java

  • Web application development.

  • Working with multiple operating systems (Macintosh, Windows and UNIX)

  • Shell scripting (sh, ksh, bash)

  • Researching and tracking software flaws

  • Containerization and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Infrastructure as code technologies (such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation).

  • Cloud computing solutions such as AWS or Azure, including volume and indexed storage, compute instances, and cloud networking concepts.

  • Technical writing and presentation.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Information Systems or any related discipline.

  • Experience with 3 or more of the following languages: Java, C#, C/C++, PERL.

  • Understanding of complex mathematics and statistics.

  • Proficient in XML, JSON, AJAX

  • Working knowledge of networking for programming over HTTP and/or TCP calls.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to understand functional and technical specifications for new products.

  • Work well under pressure, can meet tight deadlines, and is committed to work when required to complete projects.

  • Experience in Android or iOS application development

Clearance

  • TS/SCI is required to start

Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.  (https://www.accenture.com/us-en/careers/local/total-rewards)

California: $90,700 - $170,200 

Colorado: $90,700 - $147,100

New York: $83,900 - $170,200 

Washington: $96,600 - $156,600
